Google Maps Timeline
Travel Memoir
One raw Google Maps Timeline export held coordinates, timestamps, and little meaning. Correlated with photographs and public records, it reconstructed a Washington weekend—from Air Force One crossing the Monument to a storm evacuation, reopened gates, and midnight fireworks. The experiment shows how personal data can become an evidence-based memoir without confusing inference with fact or exposing an entire location history.
